Harley-Davidson Iron 883

I originally purchased my 2021 Harley-Davidson Iron 883 from Laidlaw’s Harley-Davidson in Baldwin Park, California.

This was my first Harley-Davidson motorcycle that I started riding with a small group of friends who rode a mix of sport bikes and cruisers. While I already had some riding experience and had completed a motorcycle safety course, riding with a group helped me further develop my skills and become a more confident rider.

Group riding taught me valuable skills such as maintaining proper formation, communicating with other riders through hand signals, avoiding target fixation, and experience with lane splitting, which is legal in California and became a regular part of riding in our group.

I gradually modified the Iron 883 with a number of upgrades. The bike received a Stage One setup featuring a Two Brothers Racing Comp-S 2-into-1 exhaust, Vance & Hines FP3 tuner, and Arlen Ness Big Sucker intake. I also added 8-inch Window Bars along with numerous other modifications to improve the bike's performance, appearance, and overall riding experience.

The Iron 883 was more than just my first Harley—it was the bike that helped me develop my riding style, gain experience riding in groups, and build a deeper appreciation for motorcycles.
